Strong and stable frame
The Double Travel is purpose-built for long-distance adventures. It offers a comfortable riding position for both cyclists who prefer a lower, sportier posture and those who favor a higher handlebar setup.
The rigid frame delivers sharp handling through corners, stability on descents, and efficiency with every pedal stroke.
The new Double Travel comes in two frame sizes: 49cm/49cm and 52cm/39cm.
Built for heavy loads
Like every Santos, this one is a true workhorse. Its super-strong frame easily carries all your gear, spread across five bags — with the option to attach an extra trailer if needed.
The durable triple-butted aluminum tubes and efficient geometry provide not only stiffness but also space for multiple water bottles or an extra battery.
Two wheel sizes
The new Double Travel fits two wheel sizes — without compromise! Choose the comfortable 27.5-inch wheels with 62 mm tires or opt for 28-inch wheels with tires ranging from 42 to 55 mm.
Both wheel sizes are compatible with disc brakes as well as rim brakes. We’ve developed a dual brake mount, allowing the brake to fit perfectly on both 27.5-inch and 28-inch rims.
The strongest brakes
Maximum stopping power for maximum control — ready for long descents. Our new Santos tandems come standard with hydraulic brakes from Fahrwerker, known for their outstanding braking force and durability.
For those seeking alternatives, we offer optional Hope brake models in various colors. Note: These require intensive annual maintenance.
Reliable Rohloff hub
For carefree, long-distance riding, the reliable and user-friendly Rohloff internal gear hub is the perfect choice. It turns the Double Travel into a low-maintenance and ultra-durable travel partner.
The Rohloff hub offers 14 gears and comes in six color options.The best braking power. Ready for long descents with the best Hope 4-piston disc brakes with extra large steel Santos (203mm) and extra thick (3mm) discs. Available in various different colours.
Durable double belt drive
The new Santos tandem offers a unique choice between a traditional chain or a double belt drive.
A belt is easy to clean and built to last, while a chain remains a reliable option for those who prefer it. Whichever drive system you choose, you’ll enjoy a durable and powerful tandem ready for any adventure.
Plugless hub dynamo
Opt for SON lighting and enjoy a sleek headlamp with a wide, bright beam — a signature feature of SON lights. The hub dynamo connection is plugless, making it easy to remove and replace the wheel.
We mount the headlamp on a Santos lamp holder, ensuring it shines neatly over your tire and stays perfectly upright.
SON lamps are available in six colors, matching the corresponding hub dynamo and rear light.
E-bike ready: now or later
The Double Travel is designed with the future in mind. It can be built as an E-tandem from the start or upgraded to an E-bike later on.
