From 4.29 to Adventure Lite
The Santos Adventure Lite is originally one of the first Dutch 29ers on the market. The Santos Community found it so smooth to ride that they started using it for other adventures as well. Over the years, the Santos 4.29 evolved from a genuine mountain bike with a derailleur and suspension fork into a versatile adventure bike: the Adventure Lite.
Lite stands for a lighter frame than that of the Travelmaster and a clean look due to the invisible welds, just like the other bikes in the Santos Lite series.
Whether you choose a lightweight setup for quick rides, a full bikepacking kit, or a configuration with racks, lights, and fenders, the Adventure Lite is ready to go with you. Rohloff
The Rohloff gear hub is located in the rear wheel and features 14 gears. Maximum range: 526%. Gear intervals: 13.5%.
You can combine it with either rim or disc brakes. Oil change after 1 year or 5,000 km. Available in six colors.
Pinion
The Pinion gearbox is centrally located, at the bottom bracket. You can choose between 12 or 18 gears. Maximum range: 600% or 636%. Gear intervals: 17.7% or 11.5%.
Only compatible with disc brakes. Oil change after 1 year or 10,000 km.
Your unique wheels
The right wheels are crucial. They endure a lot and are difficult to repair on the road. That is why we like to know what kind of cycling adventure you plan to undertake with them. This way, when building your bike, we can ensure you get the best wheels with the right rims. For example, lightweight rims for sporty use without a carrier or XL touring rims for heavy loads and intensive use.
Ample tire clearance
The Adventure Lite accommodates a wide range of tires, including very wide ones. With or without mudguards. Choose a tire tread that suits the terrain you want to ride on.
This way, you'll have plenty of grip, even in corners. And you can fully enjoy gravel, forest trails, and off-road adventures.
Choose your fork
The Santos Adventure fork is a rigid aluminium fork with strategically placed mounts. This allows you to customize what you want and how you want it. This flexibility is available not only when building the bike but also at a later stage.
You also have additional choices: carbon or steel forks, or the super custom option: BYO, meaning Bring Your Own Fork.
