The Marathon Carbon. Made for the longer journeys. A few good hours riding in the Ardennes or the Alps, but also the Eiffel, the Sauerland and – naturally - The Netherlands. I usually ride it myself in the Netherlands – for example, in the Utrecht hills.

Climbing and descending. Fast and safe. The Marathon is the first hardtail frame with special marathon geometry. Created for hours of biking. It is a good climber and fast in descents.

Moreover, and this is important, it is equipped with a reliable and strong frame. Lightweight, stiff and comfortable. An aluminum frame with a carbon seat tube that extends all the way to the saddle. The strong aluminum down tube can really take a beating. The carbon seat tube gives the marathon its comfort, efficiency and stylish looks.




Xtra Clearance achtervork

The unique Santos rear fork, with vertical monostay tubes and a horizontal section with extra tyre clearance, ensures that this Santos mountain bike is also able to meet high expectations!
The frame is available in three different versions. Disc only, Firmtech and Firmtech with an eccentric bottom bracket (for mounting a Rohloff Speedhub) - and like all other Santos bicycles, the Marathon Carbon is also completely hand built and assembled. Before the final assembly, you can make choices in the customizer. That is where you choose various components and also the colour that you want the frame to be sprayed.
